2025 Highlights of Association Alnour

1. Association Alnour opens its  second location on the top floor of the new building of Sitaara Couture in Al Massar. This 100% accessible space will house a training center for sewing and hand finishing for clothing manufacturers for young women and men with disabilities.

2. In January, at Association Alnour we celebrated the achievement of their embroidery training with our students, and all the trainers involved. Thank you to all and to the Centre de Formation et de Qualification dans les métiers de l’artisanat!

3. Visits from the Texas A&M University, a group of 19 students from Hong Kong and The Tatreez Retreat, a group of 13 Palestinian women from the US and Canada at Association Alnour.

4. All our embroidery artist’s babies and children are well taken care of in the newly furnished day care. Two childhood educators cuddle, play, teach, see that homework gets done from ages 2 months to 14 years.

8. The film team of Kinematika is with us again to continue shooting for the documentary about the professional training of our group of young deaf and mute women, and their integration into the labor market.

9. Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of INDH - Human Development Fund - in Marrakech, a weeklong event with presentations, workshops and inspiring talks.

11. In June, Ms. Noura Nouam, President of the Al Nour Association, participated in the Youth Empowerment Summit (Y.E.S.) in Marrakech highlighting the association’s strong commitment to inclusion, equal opportunities, and representation of women with disabilities.

12. In July, Al Nour Association for Women with Physical Disabilities launched a new solidarity initiative in support of its beneficiaries

13. Successful completion of the first 2 months of training a group of youngsters with special needs in sewing in Al Massar.

14. Association Al-Nour took part in an inspiring workshop hosted by Oxfam Morocco. The sessions focused on strengthening organizational governance, volunteer management, and partnership strategies.

15. Awareness workshop: renowned epidemiologist Dr. Latifa Adarmouch and Dr. Salma Al Batahar gave a great lecture about health, vaccines, and prevention.

16. The parents of our apprentices joined us for a guided tour, discovered the learning environment, and saw firsthand how their kids spend their day.

17. We participated in a consultative meeting on “The New Generation of Integrated Territorial Development Programs”, organized by the Province of Marrakech.
